Evidence of military crimes of the Russian Federation should be "bulletproof", - Prosecutor General
"I am convinced that the materials of every case about the military crimes of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, regardless of the physical presence of suspects, should meet the best international standards. The evidence in these proceedings should be bulletproof - convincing in national and international courts," the Prosecutor General said. Kostin also spoke about his conversation with the famous British lawyer Amal Kluni, who is part of the Legal Task Force operational group.
The international group of human rights activists has been working with Ukrainian prosecutors since March, helping to coordinate court cases of Russian military crimes. According to the Prosecutor General, Legal Task Force and Amal Clooney are providing expert advisory assistance in matters of international humanitarian law, as well as finding the mechanisms of search, arrest and directing Russian assets for compensation for the victims and the state of Ukraine.
"We have also found mutual understanding in the coordination of international support and the formation of a powerful team of international experts and partners who will be the only front to punish the perpetrators and restore justice," Kostin stressed. We will remind, Andriy Kostin holds the position of Prosecutor General of Ukraine from July 28 this year. He replaced Irina Venediktova, released from her duties on July 17. Earlier, the defenders of Azovstal told about torture from the Russians.
