Huawei changed Russia to Kazakhstan: the company's office moved closer to China
The media claims that Huawei decided to focus on other markets, and therefore in the spring of 2022 they began to reform the Russian office. Referring to an anonymous source that is close to the Huawei representation in the Russian Federation, the media writes that the work has not been stopped yet. The source reported that employees from China and other CIS countries were transferred to Kazakhstan and other CIS countries.
They came to Russia to establish a job, but now they were redirected to Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan by decision. The source also said that some Russian employees had been sent to "long-term business trips", some freelancers, about 50%, released. The Telecom analytical company "Vedomes" reported that the Huawei probably consider the Kazakhstan market "more promising".
The company does not want to risk because of the US sanctions against Russia, because it also suffered great sanction pressure from the White House, especially during the period of Donald Trump's presidential chair. Then the manufacturer of telecommunications and gadgets was accused of collecting information in favor of the China's government, although the accusations still remain deplored.
