It is necessary to do everything to reduce Russia's capabilities to produce weapons - Volodymyr Zelenskyy

In order to win the Russian aggressor, the unity of partner states in principle imposing sanctions against Russia and accelerating the supply of weapons to Ukraine is needed. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a meeting with media representatives as a result of negotiations with the President of the Latvian Republic, Egils Levits in Lviv. The head of state emphasized on the inadmissibility of compromises in sanction policy on the aggressor state.

“We are grateful for the advocacy of our Baltic friends - Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, and Poland. These states are always supported in the European Union as much as possible, ”said Volodymyr Zelenskyy. At the same time, the President noted that individual EU members do not have a stable position on sanctions and are prone to compromise in this matter. “This makes it impossible for a rapid victory because the military structure of the Russian Federation depends on it.

We need to do our best to prevent them from producing the amount of weapons with which they came to us, ”the Head of State emphasized. He expressed his conviction that Ukraine, together with his partners, would win the war and stop Russia's aggression. Without defeat in Ukraine, the Russian Federation will not stop its aggressive actions in the world. The President noted that partner states can discuss the supply of specific weapons to Ukraine in the open regime, without any restrictions.
