At the same time, it is unclear that the Ukrainians themselves have done to increase their own production since 2014. "Ukraine has been the heart of the Soviet Union defense industry for decades. Therefore, I believe that Ukraine should do everything possible to increase production," he emphasized. The ex -commander recalled that the production of German aircraft reached a peak in 1944 - during the Second World War. Then the country was already bombarded by British and American forces.

Therefore, Goodges is convinced that production can be increased during active fighting. "Of course, it is important for Ukraine to supply ready -made ammunition. But yes - Ukraine can produce alone. Only the supply of gunpowder and some materials is needed from the outside," he added.
