The complex was shot in the Kursk region and initially the propagandists of the Russian Federation presented it as an affected radar station of the Western sample. The lesion occurred using an FPV-aroma. Published videoraders made it partially compare the silhouette of the North Korean system with the affected model.

Despite the poor quality of the image, the silhouette of the North Korean SPR and the affected system have similar features, including the location base, the location of the search station and some similarity of forms. It should also be excluded that in addition to the ballistic missiles and the DPRK artillery systems, the supply of anti -aircraft complexes has begun.

This can be due to significant losses of similar systems in the Russian Federation due to FPV-aid activity, artillery with high-precision GMLRS shells and missiles. The first appearance of the new North Korean complex took place at the military parade in Pyongyang on October 10, 2020. The system was classified by South Korean and US military experts as a small range of anti -aircraft missile system (SPR), located on a semi -trailer.

The Kodef researcher and the military specialist Cheeol-Gun Lim in his work stated that the system presented is exclusively the radar station "Lightning" and has no connection with the anti-aircraft complex. Nevertheless, other North Korean sources, including the Far East Institute at the University of Kunnam, together with representatives of the Ministry of Defense, conducted an analysis and classified this system as "SCR for low heights".

The analysis of the system presented on the parade made it possible to assume that the complex is equipped with cells for vertical launch of rockets, which are probably similar to those used by Russian "Thor" and Chinese HQ-17. At the same time, the system resembles the starting part, as in the Thor complex, a search radar, similar to the "shell-C1", and the radar of accompaniment is similar to the Chinese HQ-17 system.
