Russian KA-52 pilots will receive HGU-56P HGU-56P helmets-media

The pilots compared the helmets with the Russian full-time ZS-7B and revealed the obvious advantage of the American analogue. However, the integration of the HGU-56P into the Russian helicopter system required revision. Russian KA-52 shock helicopter pilots will soon use American Flight Hug-56p. It is a high -tech equipment produced by the US company Gentex has been in Russia thanks to the efforts of "volunteers" that support hostilities.

This was reported on January 28 by Defense24 with reference to Russian profile channels. The authors of the material write that it all began with observations of Ukrainian pilots. The Russians drew attention to the fact that the pilots of Ukrainian helicopters, including Soviet production, actively use American helmets. They provide pilots with a higher level of protection and comfort compared to Russian counterparts.

In particular, HGU-56P wins due to improved armor that protects the head and face from fragments, and the possibility of integration with modern communication systems and night vision. It was also noted that HGU-56P is made of durable and light composite materials, which allows to reduce the load on the pilot. And the connection of the necessary systems will allow you to raise situational awareness and quality of communication.

Comparison with Russian full-time SSS-7B helmets showed an obvious advantage of American development. However, the integration of the HGU-56P into the Russian helicopter system required revision. So Russian communication systems and night visions differ from American in attachment and compatibility. Therefore, in order to adapt the helmets, the Russians studied the equipment of Ukrainian pilots, left after the battles in the area of the settlement of the robot, Zaporizhzhya region.
