We are preparing certain of our steps at the front and responding to the Russians for each of their blows - the President's address
We are preparing certain of our steps at the front and responding to the Russians for each of their blows. We spoke with Chief of Staff Oleksandr Syrskyi, in particular about our long-range capability. There is an increase in both the distance and the accuracy of our long-range sanctions against Russia. In fact, every day or two there is an attack on a Russian oil refinery. And it works to bring Russia back to reality.
I would also like to commend our soldiers from the 13th operational brigade of the National Guard, the 92nd separate assault brigade for their results during these weeks - both brigades are destroying the occupier in the Kupyan direction. Also there are the results of the 127th separate heavy mechanized brigade, units of the Special Operations Forces, the Security Service of Ukraine and the Military Law and Order Service.
Thanks to all of you, warriors! We are working with partners in Europe to expand the PURL program and increase purchases of American weapons. In particular, these are air defense systems and some of our long-range vehicles. Next week we will be talking to partners in Europe about new contributions to the PURL program. We are also preparing our very important agreements with some countries regarding weapons and defense technologies. There will be an expansion of our capabilities.
The Office team is currently finalizing one agreement that we have been preparing for several months. I would also like to thank the Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyridenko, the entire team working with partners on gas for Ukraine, on energy support. Today there were reports about this. There are significant results in America and also with Slovakia. In energy, we also have a common vision with our other partners.
Europe should have zero Russian energy resources, and the signals from America are clear now that they are ready to supply Europe with as much gas and oil as is needed to replace Russian supplies. Our region has the necessary infrastructure, there is the necessary potential that can help Europe's energy independence much more. We made our proposals to America regarding gas infrastructure, nuclear power generation, and some other projects. We are working on the details.
And almost every day now - in communication with the leaders in order to have our common position - everyone in Europe - regarding the pressure on Russia, the right pressure. We will not give anything to the aggressor, and we will not forget anything to them. We clearly see that this Russia is a long-term threat. So we in Europe need long-term cooperation and real results both in the short term and more far-sightedly so that people can live. And one more thing.
