The Ukrainian delegation discussed with Lloyd Austin the needs of defense forces and joint production of weapons

A visit to Washington of the Ukrainian delegation, headed by Viceremier-Minister-Ministry of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Sviridenko, began. The first meeting was held with US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin.

He was attended by Presidential Office Head Andriy Yermak, Rustem Umerov's Defense Minister, Deputy Minister of Defense Oleksandr Balanutsa, Deputy Head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Volodymyr Gorbatiuk and Head of the Main Department of Logistics of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces Mykola Shevtsov.

The head of the head of state thanked President Joseph Biden, both wards and parties of the US Congress and all the American people for helping Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression. Andriy Yermak and Rustem Umerov told about the situation on the battlefield, the needs of defense forces in service and equipment, as well as recent firing of the energy system by the aggressor state.

During this week, the Russian Federation has hit more than 400 rockets of different types and drones in Ukraine. The Ukrainian side noted that Ukraine needs to intensify air defense to protect people and critical infrastructure. The head of the Presidential Office emphasized that it is extremely important for our country to receive weapons from already announced defense packages as soon as possible.
