British intelligence believes that large parts of Wagner were probably assimilated in the command structure of the Russian Guard and are actively gaining new mercenaries. Intelligence of the United Kingdom states that after attempting to rebellion and death of the leadership of a private military company "Wagner", the Russian state is trying to strengthen its control over the group. The mercenaries resumed active recruitment.

This was stated by the UK Ministry of Defense of November 12 on the social network X (earlier Twitter). The report states that as of the end of October 2023, large parts of Wagner were probably assimilated in the command structure of the Russian Guard and actively gaining new mercenaries. "This Wagner unit is probably headed by Pavel Prigogine, the son of the deceased Yevgeny Prigogine," the intelligence said.

Other groups of Wagner fighters probably joined the Russian PEC "Redut", which, according to Radio Liberty investigation, has only 7,000 people. In addition, on November 1, 2023, Chechnya leader Ramzan Kadyrov stated that the doctors of the Wagner PEC group were part of the Chechen special unit "Akhmat". Earlier, on October 25, 2023, Kadyrov said that 170 former Wagner fighters had already joined Akhmat.
