The Council approved the creation of the Cyber ​​forces of the Armed Forces: what is known about a new type of army

To spread: the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine supported the Bill No. 12349, which provides for the creation of a cyber forces of the Armed Forces. The new unit will be responsible for the protection of the Ukrainian cyberspace and will have its own reserve from civilian specialists. According to the MP from the Voice Party Yaroslav Zheleznyak, 255 parliamentarians voted in favor of the document.

At the same time, his colleague from the European Solidarity faction, Alexei Goncharenko, confirmed that the bill was adopted in the first reading. "Cyber ​​forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are proposed to be created as a body of military administration, which will be able to involve a civilian warehouse (cyber representatives) for the period of appropriate cyber -stratification measures," he said.

According to information on the website of the Verkhovna Rada, cyber forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will receive their own legal status and will be responsible for conducting military kyerperatives, protection of sovereignty and critical infrastructure in cyberspace, as well as for special intelligence and other measures of kiebroborons. The unit will be a separate body within the Armed Forces and will be able to involve civilian specialists in cyber reservoir for special tasks.

The main tasks of cyber forces: the structure of a new type of army will include the military administration, military units, as well as educational and scientific units for the preparation and research in the field of kibroboron. The document states that reservists pass professional selection and can perform tasks both remotely and on the basis of units. It is also known that the unit will be funded at the expense of the state budget, international aid and charitable contributions.

The law also regulates the order of service in the reserve and interaction of Cybergsil with other bodies of national kybroboron. Recall that in 2024, the General Staff of the Armed Forces worked on the concept of creation of cyber -forces. At the same time, MPs created a bill that absorbed the experience of 25 countries.
