Ambassadors of foreign states visited the liberated city of Izium and got acquainted with the consequences of Russian occupation
The delegation was able to see the consequences of military crimes of Russian invaders, genocide of the Ukrainian population with Russians and crimes against humanity. In particular, the ambassadors visited a multi-storey residential building destroyed by a 500-pound Russian bomb. 53 people were killed here, among whom are seven young Ukrainians.
The heads of diplomatic missions also visited the National Police Department in Izium, which the invaders turned into a torture and talked with two local residents who managed to survive after torture. Foreign diplomats examined the mass burial of tortured and executed by Russian invaders of Ukrainians, found in the forest belt on the outskirts of Izium. 436 bodies were exhumed, including five children. Most bodies have traces of violent death.
At the scene of the tragedy, diplomatic missions spoke with journalists, in particular with representatives of leading foreign media. “The world must know the truth about the bloody crimes of the invaders. That is why it is extremely important that today foreign diplomats were able to see with their own eyes what Russian invaders leave alone.
We emphasize that the Russian military-political leadership should bear punishment for the crime of armed aggression against Ukraine, ”Andrey Sibiga said. While in Izium, the ambassadors also met with representatives of the military-civil leadership of the region: the chairman of Kharkiv Ova Oleg Synigubov, the head of the Izium district state administration Stepan Maselsky, a representative of the command of the Kharkiv military garrison Mikhail Chalim.
