Prince Vladimir is a Ukrainian or Russian: what a new history course should be in schools

Is the concept of Hrushevsky needed, is it necessary to argue, who was Prince Vladimir - Ukrainian or Russian? These issues are raised by journalist Vadim Denysenko, thinking about the discussion about a new history textbook for our schools. About the history of Ukraine at school and discussions about its study. The Ministry of Education and Science Initiative to create a history textbook that will unite the world and, in fact, Ukrainian history, came across a predicted resistance.

And the discussion, as usual, is happening to us, threatens to go into the discharge of fan groups. At the same time, as long as the whole substantive part of the discussion is reduced to two important, but still, as for me, quite banal moments: it is, of course, it is important, but there is nothing to argue (although there is a dispute, and it, like all controversy in Our bubbles, no compromises). At the same time, the more important part of the discussion is simply absent.

As for me, there is no need to discuss how many textbooks you need: two or one, it should be one. But before you start this single textbook, we should not hold a haypus, but a difficult discussion of several topics. I perfectly understand how difficult it is to hold this discussion. And this difficulty is that you need to go beyond your fan group. But only the way out of the bubble gives results.
