The Russian Federation along the border with Ukraine launched 46 starting installations

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation made an additional tactical group and added two more to the available missile complexes. Russian troops have increased the number of trigger rocket plants "Iskander" on the border with Ukraine. The Deputy Chief of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Major-General Vadim Skibitsky, told this in an interview with Interfax Ukraine. Thus, in September 2023, he reported 46 deployed launchers of the Iskander missile system.

Now, according to GUR, their number has increased. "Two more starting installations have been added. It cannot change much. The production of them is small. 46 was now 48. Two launchers have been added, they made an additional tactical group that is used for launching ballistic missiles from Russia," Skibitsky said.

Recall that recently, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoiga stated that the Iskander missile complexes should be finalized taking into account the experience of their use in Ukraine - to make a heavier warhead - up to 800 kg, and increase the range to 1000 km. It was also reported that Germany has set the Skynex air defense system to Kiev, and four more Iris-T SLM is expected to be supplied.
