Omsk was caught in Russia's largest refinery (video)
The Omsky Refinery is the largest in Russia. Its capacity is 22 million tons of oil per year, and the number of employees exceeds 3. 5 thousand. The press service of the plant confirmed the fire, notifying, however, that the fire has already been liquidated, and the refinery itself continues to work in "full -time". It is reported that the fire arose "in the auxiliary premises of the pumping", it was extinguished by automated systems, as a result, no one was injured.
We will remind, since the beginning of 2024 Russian oil factories and oil depots have at least 40 times the attacks of Ukrainian drones, and a number of large refineries were forced to stop production after fires and damage to equipment. In January-May, gasoline in Russia, according to Rosstat, fell by 20%, and diesel fuel-by 11% compared to the levels of late December.
In early June, the Russian authorities classified fuel statistics, referring to sanctions and the threat of "manipulation" by the market. We will remind, earlier Focus wrote that in Russia they want to defend oil refineries, airports and stations from the strikes of Ukrainian drones with the help of complexes of electronic struggle "Spectrum", developed by the Moscow company "The Stone of Freedom Code". However, Ukraine is convinced that the Drones "spectrum" will not save the refinery.
