Mobilization in Ukraine continues: do men with diseased joints and bones take to the Armed Forces

Mobilization diseases should significantly impair the body's functions. Arthrosis, osteopathy and lesions of the intervertebral discs can affect the fitness of service in the army. Serious diseases of the joints, bones and muscles can be the basis for the conscripts not mobilized. However, there is a condition - such diseases should significantly disrupt the functions of the body, follows from the order of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine No. 262.

We emphasize that the decision to release from the mobilization of men is made on the results of the Military Medical Commission. Medical findings should be documented. The conscript has the right to be unfit for military service, if he is confirmed by the following diseases: the grounds for dismissal from service may be arthrosis, disease and muscle damage, synovial sheath and tendons in severe form.

The list also includes osteopathy and chondropathy with significant function disorders (osteoporosis, osteomalacia, slowing of fracture breakdown, stress fractures, fibrous bone dysplasia, osteomyelitis, osteonecrosis, Pageta disease and others). With acquired deformations and defects in the extremities, spinal diseases with significant impaired function (distortion, osteochondrosis, spondylolysis, spondylolisthesis, lesions of intervertebral discs, etc. ) cannot mobilize to the army.
