The President awarded state awards to foreign leaders, volunteers and journalists who support Ukraine during the war
Under his leadership, Estonia continues to provide political and defense assistance, and also supports Ukraine's accession to the European Union. Among Estonia's recent decisions is a new contribution to the PURL program of EUR 11 million. Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany Johann Wadeful, who consistently supports Ukraine and emphasizes the importance of reliable security guarantees, was awarded the Order of Merit II degree.
Germany is the leader in Europe in terms of the amount of support provided to our country and has made a great contribution to the strengthening of air defense: thanks to this, it was possible to save thousands of lives. The Head of State awarded the Order of Princess Olga 1st degree to the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign and Security Policy Kaya Kallas and the Prime Minister of Iceland Kristrun Frostadouttir.
Iceland provides security, financial, energy and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine. Among the recent decisions is 200,000 euros for energy equipment. Among the recipients of the III degree Order of Merit are donors of the humanitarian and military sectors of UNITED24: ordinary people who raise funds to support Ukrainians and unite the societies of other countries around Ukraine.
