Despite the war, the fleet of deputies, judges, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and DBR continued to be replenished with expensive vehicles. Scheme journalists managed to analyze which of the civil servants became the owner of elite cars after February 2022.

This data was known because NAPC has resumed public access to the State Register of Declarations. According to the available data, some citizens even made a loan to buy the last model of the car, and others allegedly helped parents. The first in the list was the judge of the Kharkiv Court of Appeal Sergey Shabelnikov, who in December 2022 became the owner of Lexus NX 350h 2022. It is a full -wheel drive premium crossover.

The declaration states that the cost of such a vehicle is 2 million 185 thousand hryvnias. At the request of the journalists about the comment, the judge replied that all the information is contained in the declaration, and on other information he did not have time because of work. After a while, he still called back that he had purchased the car for his own money, because in Kharkiv he "needs a reliable car". It was also stated that he and his colleagues actively assisted the Armed Forces.

The cost of the vehicle, as indicated, is UAH 1. 2 million. Alexander Mikhailov's mother refused to comment on this information by the phone, because she was not confident to the end that he was talking to journalists. Even the proposal to show the certificate did not work. "Maybe we now know what? Bandites and these are . . . full! - said Lyubov Mikhailova.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs employee also refused to answer the questions by phone, but the meeting did not work through a tight schedule, the investigation is said. In September 2022, the head of the DBR department Oleksandr Govorchak registered the purchase of the BMW X5 car in 2018. Its cost is 1 million 350 thousand hryvnias. "And why did you decide that I have to answer? What you say may not be true. It is not interesting to me. In the declaration everything is stated, look, study.

If you have any remarks, then send to the appropriate authorities," - The DBR representative answered the questions of journalists about the expediency of expensive purchases during the war. Vadim Borets, Deputy Mayor of Uzhgorod, was no exception and purchased BMW X7 XDRIVE 30d 2022 a year ago for UAH 1. 5 million.
