New Milestone Evolution: The Armed Forces used a drone "Baba Yaga" with laser ammunition (photo)

Ukraine could launch mass production of corrected ammunition, making discharges from UAV more accurately, experts say. The Russian Federation stated that Ukraine's defense forces use Baba Yaga bombard drones, equipped with 125 mm laser projectiles. The relevant photos were posted in one of the Russian Telegram channels. In the pictures you can see the large sizes of the drone, as well as the mentioned ammunition with the marking BK-3OF and the factory number.

According to the author of the publication, the design of the projectile takes place behind the reflected laser beam. According to the Ukrainian portal "Militar", the presence of a marking and a factory number can indicate the mass production of this ammunition. Experts also paid attention to the notch on the housing, which affects the formation of fragments of the same size. The nasal part of the projectile houses an optical guidance device.

In the feed part there are four aerodynamic steering wheel, which should set the flight direction when falling on the target. The publication emphasized that the defense-industrial complex of Ukraine has long been working on the creation of corrected ammunition to improve the efficiency of use of UAV-bombarders. In particular, such shells are created with the support of the Brave1 defense cluster.

For his part, the author of the Ukrainian Telegram-channel Vanguard noted that the fact of using such weapons by the Defense of Ukraine is an important event. According to him, the introduction of laser ammunition in the UAV type "Baba Yaga" of this class will bring these drones to a new milestone of evolution. The publication states that huge UAV-Bombarders have to dump explosives from a height, on which the enemy can see, hear and even knock down with handy means.

However, even at such a risk of damage, the target is not guaranteed because unmanaged ammunition is sensitive to reset and external factors such as weather. Laser -laser ammunition can solve these problems by providing more accurate blows and relatively high safety for the UAV itself.
