Almost as before the war: Ukraine has sharply increased the export of meat abroad

As the Deputy Minister of Agro -Policy Taras Vysotsky explained, meat producers still have preconditions for the effective development of the industry and the realization of export potential. According to him, Ukraine sells three types of meat: "The latter is a more niche direction, literally less than 1%is exported.

Beef is approximately 5-6%, and more than 90%of our exports are poultry meat," Vysotsky explained . The geography of exports, as the Deputy Minister noted, is quite wide, since Ukrainian meat of high quality. The indicator of this is the export of products to the countries of the European Union. "As a result of the war, exporters, of course, had to be re -encouraged, because some products were transported through seaports.

But since the cost of a ton of meat is much higher than a ton of grain, the change in logistics did not affect the export of these products," Taras Vysotsky stressed. According to customs statistics, Ukrainian meat is most often purchased by countries such as: Deputy Minister of Agro-Policy Taras Vysotsky also noted that Ukrainian production meat is quite active in the Middle East, in Southeast Asia and Africa.
