The military mistakenly counted UAH 2.4 million: he did not return and went to the HSC that the court decided

This is stated in the sentence of the Cathedral District Court of the Dnieper city, made on May 1. It is noted that in December 2024 the senior soldier had to receive UAH 25,043 of financial assistance for recovery.

Instead, on December 28, 2024, officials of the military unit were mistakenly transferred to the military 2 441 739 UAH, that is, 2 417 071 UAH was received at his account. According to the case file, the soldier decided not to return the wrong funds, and on January 7 he left the part. It was detained in two months - March 6. The military, while considering the case, pleaded guilty and repented of the act.

The sentence states that the soldier voluntarily returned to the settlement account of the military unit 1 510 598 UAH, which still remained on his balance sheet. The court appointed a serviceman in the form of imprisonment for a term of 7 years with confiscation in favor of the state of all his property and with deprivation of 3 years of the right to occupy positions related to the performance of organizational and administrative and administrative and economic functions.

It is also noted that the soldier should be charged in favor of the military unit 868 991 UAH of material damage. Before that, in 2018, the convicted person served in the Ukrainian army under the contract, but went to the HSC in 2019 a year. Then he came to the military prosecutor's office and received a conditional punishment at the court, which was stated in the sentence of the Central City District Court of Kryvyi Rih of Dnipropetrovsk region of December 10, 2020.
