China supplies Russian artillery: what systems are about - experts (photos)

To spread: President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukrainian intelligence has recorded the supply of weapons from China to Russia. According to the Head of State, it is about the transfer of artillery, gunpowder, as well as the possible participation of Chinese specialists in the production of weapons in the Russian Federation. "We finally have received information that China is supplying weapons.

To date, we have general information from the Security Service, from intelligence - about gunpowder, artillery. I think that next week we will be able to tell more about it," Zelensky said at a briefing on April 17. The President also stressed that he had previously received personal assurances from the head of the China Si Jinping that Beijing would not supply Moscow's weapons. However, new intelligence data indicate the opposite.

"We already have facts about how China and Russia cooperate in the sphere of strengthening defense - and these are bad facts," Zelensky added. Commenting on the words of the Ukrainian President, the "miller" observers noted that Chinese -made artsystems, created on the basis of Soviet models, could be supplied to Russia.

Given that in Soviet times, China received a considerable amount of artillery from the USSR, as well as technologies of production, experts consider it quite logical that these systems or their Chinese counterparts can be supplied to Russia now. First, it makes it possible to avoid the need to retreat the calculations. Secondly, through joint origin, such systems are almost impossible to distinguish from the Soviet without deep professional knowledge.

This is especially true in conflict, where rapid weapons identification is often impossible. Therefore, the following artillery systems may be discussed: the Type 81 reactive system, created on the basis of 122 mm BM-21 "Grad", could be observed on the front. It is also possible that in addition to whole artillery systems, it is possible to transfer individual components - in particular, trunks or starting installations, suitable for installation on existing Russian platforms.

In addition to artillery, the Russian Federation fixes the use of ammunition visually similar to Chinese. Thus, according to March 3, Russian troops use 122-mm fragmentation and fugitive shells of F-56M-1M, which are used with howitzers D-30. The range of these ammunition by 4 km exceeds standard indicators for this caliber. It is still unclear whether these shells are supplied directly from China, whether their production is set up in Russia by Chinese technologies.
