During the air alarm signal, the Ukrainian air defense forces shot down the drone, its wreckage fell on the territory of the school in the Desnyanskiy district, the mayor of the capital Vitaliy Klitschko wrote in Telegram. Emergency services, according to the mayor, go to the scene. The head of the Kyiv City Military Administration (KMVA) Timur Tkachenko said that the object is located on Putivlskaya Street.
The media report that the debris fell in the courtyard of the specialized school №23, which has the first and only theatrical class in Ukraine. There was a fire in the open area. The students were in shelter at the time of the incident, information about the damage and the victims is clarified, said the KMVA head. Later, Tkachenko noted that the fire was eliminated and pyrotechnics would continue on the site. The street is blocked, the Kyiv24 channel reported.
The Command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces reported that since the evening of March 17, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation attacked the territory of Ukraine 137 Shakhaned UAV and various dnasters in Shatalovo, Kursk, Millervo and Primorsko-Akhtarsk. The air attack was reflected by anti -aircraft missile troops, EWS units and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and Defense forces of Ukraine.
In total, 63 enemy drones in Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Kirovograd, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, Mykolaiv and Kherson regions were able to destroy 63 enemy drones. 64 enemy UAV-simulators were lost. We will remind, on the night of March 17 the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation launched 174 shock drones and various drones-simulators. 37 Russian UAVs were recorded near Kiev.
