Finland, according to the head of the Cabinet of Ministers Petter ORPO, is one of the largest donors of Ukraine, taking into account the size of the country. Finland will approve a new, 18th, package of assistance to Ukraine in the near future. This was announced by Petter Prime Minister of ORPO at a press conference with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky in Kiev on August 23. The Finnish politician noted that his state had already provided 17 packages of assistance to Ukraine.

According to him, the 18th package will soon come. The government should approve it at the end of the week. According to him, this package is the same as the previous ones. Finland, according to ORPO, is one of the largest donors of Ukraine, taking into account the size of the country. "There are things that are really needed: ammunition and heavy weapons," the head of the Finnish government commented. Orpo also compared the present war against Ukraine with the Winter War of Finland.

The success in the confrontation, which lasted from November 30, 1939 to March 13, 1940, allowed the country to maintain independence and not fall under the influence of the Soviet Union. "Finnish was navigating, just as Ukraine is now fighting," the Finnish Prime Minister said. Zelensky thanked Finland for his help and said that a new help pack would be really necessary for the Ukrainian army. The Ukrainian leader stressed that such support is very important.
