In an interview with Radio NV, military expert Oleg Zhdanov named three reasons why the occupiers could be banned from crossing the Dnieper in the Kherson region. The first reason for this decision of Zhdanov on the air of Radio NV called the desire to create a live shield from the locals, taking people in hostages and not allowing them to be evacuated before Kherson's liberation.

On September 5, the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces reported that the occupiers had banned the locals in the Kherson region to cross the Dnieper-both bridges and with the help of vessels.
