The army of the Russian Federation has received the new Master-SV air defense systems: what is known
"Magizer-SV" was developed by the Penza NPP "Rubin" from the composition of the holding "Roselectronik", which is part of the corporation "Rostek". At the same time, it is emphasized that at the end of March 2021, Rostehé announced the beginning of mass production of these systems after the state testing. "The new unified module is designed for exploration of airspace using external and built -in reconnaissance and coordination of air combat.
The development has undergone state testing and accepted for the supply of the Russian army," the State Corporation press service reported. The developers claim that the system is equipped with a "unique" optical-electronic station with the functions of automatic detection, recognition and support of air goals. To do this, it was necessary to create a database of optical characteristics of different air goals and features of radiation of natural obstacles.
"The unified module includes qualitatively new means of exploration of airspace, which satisfy the modern requirements for the range and accuracy of detecting air goals," - said the CEO of the Vega Concern Vyacheslav Mikhaev. It is noted that the complex is intended for the detection of UAVs, as well as other air objects.
The retired Russian air defense colonel Valery Koval claims that this system can clearly distinguish, for example, the drone "Orion-10" and Ukrainian models, giving out the clear coordinates of the apparatus. "Magizer-SV" is mounted on the base of armored equipment-in this case on the chassis BMP-3 with appropriate running characteristics and protection.
