The agreement between Ukraine and the Russian Federation provides for the withdrawal

According to the CEO of Raphael Grossi, Kyiv and Moscow, they agreed not to fire the station and not to open fire on its territory. The withdrawal of weapons from the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant will become one of the mandatory points of the Agreement of Ukraine and Russia with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). This was stated in an interview with the Italian newspaper by La Repubblica in an interview with the Italian newspaper.

According to him, the Ukrainian side insists that Russian troops remove all weapons from the territory of Zaporizhzhya NPP, and the IAEA supports these requirements. The Russian side does not against such a condition and does not ask anything in return. "This is what Ukrainians are demanded and their point of view is clear. And in any case, it would be part of the general arrangement," Raphael Grossi said.

According to the head of the IAEA, Ukraine and Russia will agree on the creation of a security zone for the end of the year. He noted that during the negotiations, the parties had already made significant progress in discussing several key points, and soon the IAEA can organize a meeting between the Presidents Vladimir Zelensky and Vladimir Putin. First, Ukraine and Russia have agreed that they should not both fire a nuclear power plant and fire from its territory.

Secondly, the parties recognized the cooperation with the IAEA with the only opportunity to reach the agreement. On December 2, information appeared that Russian troops were preparing to leave the territory of the ZPP. They can take such a step if Russia receives guarantees of uninterrupted transit of oil and gas in the territory of Ukraine. Before that, Energoatom reported that the deputy chief engineer of Zaporizhzhya NPP Yuriy Chernichuk moved to the side of Russia.
