Russia stated that Europe is "preparing for the occupation of" Moldova: the CPD explained the purpose of the Kremlin provocation

To spread: Russian media are spreading statements about the alleged plans of Europe to occupy Moldova. The reports state that this is allegedly to control the country and contain its "Russophobic policy". In particular, one of the Russian publications, referring to the external intelligence service of the Russian Federation (SVR), reports that European states are allegedly preparing for the "occupation" of Moldova.

According to SVR, the European Union allegedly plans to intervene even if the results of the parliamentary elections on September 28 do not require immediate action. According to the service, the possible time for the introduction of troops allegedly coincides with the elections in Transnistria, scheduled for November 30.

SVR also claims that "European bureaucrats" are supposedly determined to keep Moldova in the line of their "Russophobic policy" at any cost, including the possible introduction of troops and the actual occupation of the country. The purpose of such actions is to attempt to weaken the European course of Moldova and to strengthen the positions of pro -Russian political forces.
