The minister noted that this event is an important signal for the market that the "grain initiative" is a safe and, most importantly, favorable business for shipowners to return to Ukrainian ports.
Kubrakov stressed that Ukraine is doing everything possible to allow its ports to receive and process much more vessels, in particular, it plans to reach at least 3-5 vessels a day within two weeks. “Our goal is to enter the monthly transshipment in the ports of Greater Odessa in 3 million tons of agricultural products. Practical accession will also help to achieve this next week to the "Grain Initiative" of our largest port - the South, "the minister wrote.
According to him, Ukraine plans to start negotiations with the UN and Turkey in the future to spread the initiative to other ports, including Mykolaiv. “Despite the intermediate successes in the debled ports, we continue to actively increase transshipment in the Danube ports, which since February have become one of the main rescuers of Ukrainian exporters. We take into account all the scenarios without putting excessive hope for the Grain Corridor, - the minister added.

It is a Navi Star ship transporting 33,000 tons of Ukrainian corn. On Monday, August 1, a Razoni ship with a load of 26 thousand tons of corn under the Sierra Leone flag-for the first time from the beginning of a full-scale invasion of Russia to Ukraine on February 24, came out of the Odessa Mort. The ship went to Lebanon.
On July 22, Ukraine signed an agreement with Turkey and the UN to unblock Ukrainian grain exports through ports in the Black Sea. Russia has signed a mirror treaty with Turkey and the UN, Ukraine did not directly sign any treaties with the aggressor country. The agreement concerns exports from Ukrainian ports of Odesa, Chernomorsk and South.
Port control will remain on the Ukrainian side; No vessels, except for those that will provide export of grain and related products, will not be able to enter the ports. In Turkey, inspection groups of representatives of all parties were created who will check the goods and staff. The inspection will be carried out only in the harbor, at the entrance and exit from the Turkish Strait.
