Trade with the whole world: Russia has started exporting record grain volumes
It is noteworthy that sharp export growth occurred almost immediately after the Russians abandoned the grain agreement. Thus, exports of wheat from the Russian Federation amounted to 6. 5 million tons - 36. 6% more than in August 2022. Barley exports increased by 7% to 997 thousand tons, corn - almost 1. 9 times - up to 212 thousand tons. According to journalists, since the beginning of the 2023/2024 marketing year, which began on July 1, the Russian Federation exported 13.
3 million tons of major grain crops, which is 1. 6 times more than in the first two months last season. In particular, the wheat has been exported to 11 million tons (1. 5 times more), which is also the maximum in the last seven years. The most active Russian wheat bought Egypt in August. 910 tons were shipped for the country. Algeria took second place, with the export of the Russian Federation to this country increased seven times - up to 610 thousand tons.
Turkey with a figure of 481 thousand tons was third. Kenya (supplies increased 12 times - up to 444 thousand tons) and Bangladesh, where the Russians shipped 319 thousand tons. It is noted that in August 2022 Russia did not export wheat at all. It should be noted that in Moscow, it has been stated that Russia has been leaving a grain agreement since July 18, the Russian army has destroyed more than 200,000 tons of Ukrainian grain.
At the same time, the Kremlin continues to lie that only military facilities are attacking in Ukraine. By the way, thanks to the Black Sea Grain Initiative in 2022, the world received almost 32 million tons of Ukrainian food. On August 3, during a UN Security Council meeting, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken stated that the countries of the world need to combine efforts to counteract Russian blackmail famine, which can start on the planet.
