The former leader of pro -Russian fighters has 700 supporters who were not afraid to try to put it off by a candidate for presidentials. The FSB exhibitor Igor Girkin-Strelkov, who is in a pre-trial detention center on charges of extremism, did not become a candidate for President of Russia. The initiative group was unable to complete the registration due to the mass refusal of Moscow notaries to register the signatures of its supporters.

The attempts of Girkin to become Russian president were told on the portal The Moscow Times. A number of publications on Telegram and Roszma representatives on Telegram. As a result, the required number of signatures was collected, but could not be officially issued because of the actions of notaries. As it turned out, on December 24, about 700 people gathered at Izmailovo Hotel in Moscow, who wanted to participate in the collection of signatures in support of the arrested Russian.

The fact that there were many people is evidenced by the photos of the wife of Gorkin Miroslav Reginskaya. In the photo taken from the back of the present, several hundred raised hands are visible. At some point, the signatures and passport data of the initiators of Girkin's nomination in president began to collect. 521 signatures, wrote witnesses of the event.

A special notary was attended at the meeting, who had to certify that the signatures were collected without violations-reported in the Telegram-channel journalist Alexei Polorotov of "Ostorozhno, Media". However, the notary refused to execute the agreed. After that, the organizers turned to another four lawyers, but no one agreed to help the accomplices of a person suspected of extremism.

The journalists of The Moscow Times quoted Reginskaya's position, who believes that the signatures can be registered later. However, they emphasize that it is unlikely that it can not be done during the assembly - this violates the relevant laws of the Russian Federation on the election of the President. In November, Strelkov announced an attempt to compete with Russian President Vladimir Putin, recalled on the portal.

At the same time, the prisoner claimed that he had advantages: not as "kind and trusting" as Putin, has no millionaire friends and is better aware of military affairs. Igor Girkin-Strolekov is a Russian propagandist and a military man who was in the service of the FSB of the Russian Federation. The Russian participated in the fighting in 2014 - then he was able to temporarily occupy Slavyansk in Donetsk region.

On charges of killing the Boeing MH-17, the FSB exhibiter was sentenced to life imprisonment (in absentia). Today, a man is in a Moscow detention center, where he got after excessive criticism of the military command. It should be noted that the election of the President of the Russian Federation should take place in the spring of 2024.

Russian President Putin has already expressed his desire to take part in the presidential race again - he said this during a meeting with the military of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, who are fighting in Ukraine.
