Arms for the Armed Forces: RheinMetall will put more than 30 Leopard systems to Ukraine

According to the concern, Leopard 1 is currently overhauling at RheinMetall factories in Unterlus and Cassel and prepared for use. The Government of Ukraine has concluded a contract for the supply of 32 Leopard 1 systems with the German concern, including 25 major LEOPARD 1A5 combat tanks. Supply should take place next year. This was reported by the company's press service. Ukraine also ordered five Bergepanzer 2 armored evacuation machines and two tanks for driving training.

It is noted that the order worth several million euros, which is funded by the Federal Republic of Germany, also includes training, logistics, spare parts, maintenance and other auxiliary services. Supply should be due in 2024. Leopard 1 systems are currently overhauling and are being prepared for use at RheinMetall factories in Unterlus and Cassel. RheinMetall continues to support Ukraine with constant supply of tactical machines.

Earlier, the group was instructed to put 80 Marder infantry infantry fighting vehicles. Most of them have already proven resilience in current operations on the battlefield. The concern is ready to put another twenty Marder BMP as soon as it receives the appropriate order. At the end of 2023 - early 2024, Ukraine will also receive 5 CACAL Airborne Machines. In addition, on behalf of the governments of the Netherlands and Denmark next year, RheinMetall will put 14 Leopard 2A4 tanks to Ukraine.

The company also helps the Ukrainian armed forces of ammunition, drones, medical products and more. RheinMetall won a multi-million dollar contract for 120 mm mine to Ukraine. The German government has placed an order for the supply of almost 100,000 mines for 120 mm mortars to Ukraine. The cost of the order is a three -digit amount of millions of euros and is part of the recent military assistance package to Ukraine for more than $ 400 million.
