"Losing the faith that won": in the US assume that the Russian Federation will regret exit from the grain agreement

The State Department Coordinator James O'Braen noted that Russia has lost its desired impact on exports from Ukraine after a blockade breakage in the Black Sea. Now Moscow officials will think about whether it was worth breaking the arrangements. The levers of the Russian Federation on the export of grain from Ukraine through the Black Sea will decrease. This is due to the breakthrough of the blockade thanks to the temporary corridor that ships reach ports.

The change of the situation may push the Kremlin to review its decision on the exit from the grain agreement. The relevant statement of the Head of Coordination of US State Department James O'braen was quoted on Reuters. "A few factors . . . will affect their calculations. One of them is that their lever of influence will decrease," the American official emphasized. The second factor, in his opinion, is the loss of funds.

According to the State Department coordinator, pricing will suffer in Russia itself suffering from attacks by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on the ship. Insurers raise rates and aggressor costs are increasing. "Over the next few weeks, I think the factors that forced Russia to believe that it would win from the exit," O'Branin said.

The media reminded that the Russian Federation explained the decision to withdraw from the grain agreement by the fact that its own export faces obstacles and grain does not come to the countries where it is needed. However, in August, Ukraine announced the creation of a humanitarian corridor to evacuate ships stuck in ports through the Black Sea blockade. We will remind, on September 21 this corridor for the first time used a foreign cargo ship - Resilient Africa.
