Azarov, Pushilin, Tsarev and others: what pro -Russian politicians have not fallen under sanctions - UP
A number of pro -Russian politicians, including the former Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov, ex -education Dmitry Tabachnyk, as well as exader Viktor Yanukovych Andriy Portnov, "Head of Crimea" Sergey Aksenov and others, have not been under updated Ukrainian sanctions for more than a year. Experts of the Center for Combating Corruption in the Ukrainian Truth column write about it.
According to the author of the material, the reason is that in order to confiscate their assets, it is necessary to block their decisions of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC), which became possible only after amending the Law on Sanction in May 2022. It is reported that the Ministry of Justice is still unable to seek assets related to these persons and to check the possibility of recovery.
After blocking the assets, the Ministry of Justice will be able to start inspection and, if necessary, go to court. In addition, some of the pro -Russian figures, such as Andrei Portnov, official of the Yanukovych administration, have not yet suffered. According to the material, the imposition of sanctions is possible only at the initiative of five entities: the President, the Verkhovna Rada, the Cabinet of Ministers, the National Bank or the Security Service of Ukraine.
The Presidential Office of Ukraine and the Task Force UA Interagency Group, including the sanction direction, are also actively involved in sanctions. The work of these bodies is coordinated by the office of the Prosecutor General Kostin. Among the pro -Russian figures who have not fallen under sanctions, experts call the following: new sanctions have not been imposed on former Yanukovych officials, many of whom have been in Russia since 2014.
Among them are Vadim Kolesnichenko, Renat Kuzmin, Olena Bondarenko, Victor Pshonka, Sergey Arbuzov, Andriy Klyuyev, Alexander Yakimenko, Alexander Klimenko, Vitaliy Zakharchenko, Dmitry Salamatin, Elena Lukash, Raisa Bogatyreova and others. We will remind, on July 20 it became known that the United Kingdom abolished personal sanctions imposed on the Russian businessman and founder of Bank "Tinkoff" Oleg Tinkova.
