The authors of the publication write that the installation of a Turkish module on the MT-LB was an original solution that strengthened the possibilities of the armored vehicle. Designed by the Turkish company Aselsan, Sarp Dual has a modular design, which allows to install a variety of weapons on it, including machine guns, guns and grenade launchers. The module can be equipped with a 7. 62 mm machine gun FN Mag58, 12.

7 mm heavy machine gun M2 or 40 mm automatic MK19 grenade launcher. The Sarp Dual combat module is widely used in Turkish armored vehicles and other platforms. Its installation on the MT-LB, in fact, turns the car into a small infantry fighting machine (BMP). However, for the full performance of this role, the machine does not have sufficient reservation, withstanding only fire from small arms and hitting shell fragments, observers said.

"The war in Ukraine continues to remain a large laboratory for the most inventive minds in terms of weapons. However, the effectiveness of such machines still has to be proved," experts summed up.
