President

Ukraine deserves the next year to become a year of peace - the President's appeal to the participants of the special session of the European Parliament dedicated to thousands of days of full -scale war

Thank you sincerely. Thank you very much, dear Roberto, Mrs. President! Dear ladies and gentlemen, dear friends, our friends, friends of Ukraine! Thank you for the support of Ukraine. Thank you, Roberto, who convened this extraordinary session of the European Parliament on the occasion of thousands of days of a full -scale war. I thank you that none of the thousands of days of this terrible war has become a day of betrayal of our common European values.

We proved that these values are not just words, not something abstract. European values and a European lifestyle, when they are embodied in action, protect the lives of real people. Thank you very much! Together - Ukraine, all of Europe, our partners in America and all over the world - we have not only managed to prevent Putin's attempt to seize Ukraine, but also to protect the freedom of all European peoples.

Even with the North Korean leader Kim Cenn, on his side, Putin's strength is inferior to the United Forces of Europe. I urge you not to forget about it. Do not forget how many Europe is able to achieve. If we were able to prevent the destruction of the European lifestyle, then we will undoubtedly be able to push Russia to just peace. It is the world that we strive the most. Two years ago, we offered the formula of peace, and I am grateful to the whole of Europe and every partner who supported it.

And in the European Parliament you were one of the first to support the formula of peace. And the only one who opposes her is the one who started this war is Russia. And we must bow Russia to just peace. Every impact and every threat from Russia must comply with strict sanctions. Within a thousand days, it was extremely important to significantly reduce Russia's ability to finance its war through the sale of oil. Oil is the blood of the Putin regime.

And the shadow fleet of tankers is something that supports its existence. While these tankers are working, Putin continues to kill. Strong sanctions are required. I thank each of you, thank you again, Roberto, thank each of you who supports our people - our stability, our ability to restore security even after the most destructive mass attacks by Russia. Together we have already achieved a lot. But we should not be afraid to do even more.

Putin has now pulled 11,000 military people from North Korea to the border of Ukraine. This contingent can grow to 100 thousand. While some European leaders are thinking about the opportunity to win some elections or something like this at the expense of Ukraine, Putin is focused on winning this war. He will not stop alone. The more time he has, the worse the conditions are. Every "today" is the best moment to press Russia more.

And this is understandable - without certain key factors in Russia there will be no real motivation to conduct meaningful negotiations: without fires in ammunition warehouses in Russian territory, without disturbed military logistics, without the destroyed Russian aircraft, without lost opportunities to produce rockets and drones, without confiscation.

You know well that Putin does not appreciate either people or rules; He values only money and power - and this is what we have to take away from it to restore peace. If someone in Europe thinks that Moscow can sell Ukraine or any other country, such as the Baltic country, Balkans, Georgia or Moldova, and get something in return, let him remember this simple truth: it is impossible to find peace in the waters during the storm.

We must do everything to finish this war - honestly and fairly, as you said, Roberto. And, of course, together. Together. A thousand days of war is a huge challenge. Huge. Ukraine deserves the next year to become a year of peace. Thank you! Thank you again. Thank you sincerely. Thank you for your resolutions, your decisions, your principles, your visits to Ukraine during the war, during the first year of the war, especially the first year when it was so difficult.
