And the story with light aircraft was no exception. For example, in Ukraine, the practice of using Yak-52 to hunt for intelligence drones-"eagles" and Zala-has been known since 2022. Since then, such missions have become a rarity against the background of the appearance of specialized anti -aircraft drones. These are the first recorded frames of this use, although reports on the search for the Russians of light aircraft for air defense appeared in 2024.

At the same time, plans for equipping such machines were discussed with radar stations and HRB, but their implementation raises doubts. However, Ukrainian experience shows that under systematic organization, such planes can be integrated into the structure of army aviation or even the PCS of the Russian Federation. Earlier it was reported that the Yakovlev design bureau intends to modernize the training aircraft Yak-52 in a new version of JAC-52B2, designed to fight drones.
