Modification of BRK "Ball": The Russian Federation has completed the development of the coastal missile complex "Rubezh-M" (photo)

The rocket system is designed not only to damage various surface goals, but also to strike for the purposes of land. The peculiarity of the complex is that all its main means are placed on a single chassis. Typhoon Kaluga Instrumentation Plant successfully completed the development of the coastal missile complex (BRK) "Rubezh-M".

According to the Russian media, the complex is prepared for adopting the Navy of Russia, and its export version of "Rubezh-ME" is already moving in the international market. Army Recognition Operators were told about the new rocket complex of Russians. "Rubezh-M" is a multifunctional system that unites the control center, radar and starting installations on the KAMAZ truck platform, thus providing the autonomy and mobility of the complex.

The development of "Rubezh-M" began in the mid-2010s and ended by the end of the decade. In 2019, the Typhoon plant first introduced the experimental version of the system on the International Maritime Defense Salon in St. Petersburg. The complex includes four missiles, locator, control systems, power supply and communication. The system tests have been completed by the end of 2021, and now it is ready for mass production and operation.

This self -propelled BC is used to protect territorial waters and exclusive economic zone from enemy ships and ships. It is able to detect various overwlowing goals and attack them with anti -ship missiles. However, according to some experts, it can also be used to defeat land purposes. The Rubezh-M complex is a development that underlies some solutions from the 3K60 "Ball". At the same time, its design was seriously redesigned and supplemented with new systems and units.

And its main feature is that all the fixed assets of the complex are located on a single chassis. "Rubezh-M" is equipped with a radar station of VPE-A (active) and SPU (passive), which allows to detect targets at a distance of up to 500 km. The control system is automated, which minimizes the involvement of the operator in the process of guidance and launch of missiles.

The complex is capable of striking overwlowing goals at any time of day and in all weather conditions, even in the conditions of radio electronic fight and air defense. The main weapons of the complex are anti-ship missiles X-35U "Uranus". The missiles are equipped with a small turbojet engine and have a speed of 0. 8-0. 85 Mach with a flight range up to 260 km for export variants and up to 500 km for Navy.

The rockets have a homage radar head and penetrating 145-kilogram fugas warheads, which allows to hit whole with a watertone up to 5,000 tons. The complex can start rockets at intervals of 3 seconds, and the recharge takes 30-40 minutes. Basic TTH rockets: Typical Battery "Rubezh-M" contains up to eight launches with rockets and a mobile command point equipped with Monolit-B radar. This installation is also based on the KAMAZ 8X8 military truck chassis.
