"Ready to come to the rescue": France is set to help Ukraine produce weapons - the Foreign Ministry

According to French Foreign Minister Stefana Sezhurne, Paris will continue to try to improve the legal and organizational framework for cooperation with Kiev even better. Paris seeks to broaden the possibilities of production of military systems in the Ukrainian territory together with Kiev. This was stated by French Foreign Minister Stefan Sezhurne on a briefing jointly with his Ukrainian colleague, Ukrinform reports.

"We are set to jointly strengthen Ukraine's ability to produce weapons on our land and are ready to come to your aid in this field," he emphasized. According to his statement, Paris intends to continue to improve legal and organizational structures for more efficient development of cooperation with Kiev.

In addition, the Foreign Minister noted that France will use all its political and diplomatic weight at the European Council summit in order for Ukraine to allocate assistance in the amount of 50 billion euros. "The European Council will be assigned to the summit on February 1, and we have to do everything to preserve the unity of Europe on the occasion of this meeting.

Sezhurne stressed that these funds will be aimed at supporting the Ukrainian budget for financing education, health care, justice and other socio-economic needs.
