Kiev is negotiating with Western companies for weapons production in Ukraine - media

According to Ukrainian officials, in the next few months our country will sign contracts with weapons from Germany, Italy, France and Eastern Europe. There are negotiations between Kiev and Western companies to increase weapons production, including unmanned aerial vehicles. About it writes Reuters with reference to the Deputy Minister for Strategic Industry of Ukraine Sergey Boyev.

The publication states that contracts for the placement of military industrial facilities in Ukraine can be signed soon. According to Boev, the dialogue is conducted with representatives of companies from Germany, Italy, France and Eastern Europe. "We are conducting very detailed negotiations with them. And we are sure that in the next few months we will have contracting agreements," the official told reporters in the sidelines of the Paris Airmazalone.

The authors of the publication also mentioned that in May, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reported on the cooperation of Kyiv with the British defense company Bae Systems in order to create a base for production and repair of weapons in our country. Recall that according to Defense News of June 19, the European Union plans to oblige explosive manufacturers in priority to direct their products to companies that produce ammunition for Ukraine.
