This was stated by a representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense (GUR MO) Andriy Yusov in a comment "Channel 24" on August 18. According to him, all theses that Ukraine and the Russian Federation are waiting for a protracted war, more reminiscent of Russian IPSO, which is aimed at an external audience. Because for the internal audience completely different narratives - the regime is trying, on the contrary, to separate the situation," - said Andrey Yusov. Separately, the GUR representative noted that among the goals of such an informational agenda - demoralization of Ukrainians and the demotivation of a coalition, which opposes the regime of Vladimir Putin.

In reality, the Russian Federation is not able to wage a long war, because its resources are limited, and the mobilization system does not actually work. Regular cleansing in intelligence, army and Ministry of Defense continue. All this indicates that the war will not be delayed for a long time.
