According to the head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Alexei Reznikov, the Ukrainian troops, using Iceye data, destroyed the arms of the Russians more than it cost access to satellite data. Thanks to Iceye satellites, the Ukrainian soldiers destroyed the military equipment of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation for a larger amount than it cost access to satellite data. The head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Alexei Reznikov informed about it on social networks.

"Thanks to the funds of Ukrainians, space support from the Cosmos already gives results on the battlefield," the head of the defense department commented. Reznikov said that in the first two days of the satellite, the Ukrainian military discovered more than 60 units of Russian military equipment, which the invaders tried to mask in forest strips and other inaccessible places. However, it was found because Iceye satellites collect information from Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR).

It was very difficult and even impossible to see such hidden technique with optical satellites. According to him, Russian equipment managed to liquidate in the area of ​​settlements Khreshchenivka and Ukrainian in the Kherson region, as well as near Novoselivka, Donetsk region. Currently, one Iceye satellite is working completely for Ukrainian defense needs, and almost two dozen can be used as needed.

According to Reznikov, specialists of the Ministry of Defense, who have undergone appropriate training, are engaged in deciphering and processing satellite images. "The information comes from analysts to combat units very quickly. It will be more difficult for Russian invaders to hide their intentions, which will further complicate their logistics," the Ministry of Defense Head writes.

Thanks to the ability to combine optical satellites and SAR data in the Ukrainian army, the ability to find the enemy's military equipment has significantly increased and accurately strikes. It is important that satellites that work with SAR technology become indispensable in the fall and winter, as they can take clear pictures even in bad cloudy weather with precipitation.
