Earlier it was known that in 2022, Kapo had rolled two new Tu-160m from the workshops, which have not yet been transferred to the PCS of the Russian Federation. There were no publications about their production in 2023. Now, the Russian "Center for Analysis of Strategies and Technology" (CAS) in its unofficial BMPD blog reported that during the period 2022-2023 the Russian MIC was not two, but three strategic Tu-160m strategic bombers.

According to this version, the President of the Russian Federation in the hangar showed two planes of this type with serial numbers 9-02 (onboard room "22 Red") and 9-03 (onboard room "23 Red"). "22 Red" - released Kapo in December 2022, for the first time he climbed into the air in the summer of 2023. Bort "23 Red", the same serial 9-03, was probably built a little later, and now he did not rise into the air.
