Israel's army found a 55-meter tunnel under a hospital in Gaza Sector (Video)
The footage shows a narrow passage with an arch concrete roof that ends with a gray door. According to the Israeli army, the tunnel under the hospital ended with an explosive doors. At the same time, Hamas terrorists deny that the tunnels are located in civilian infrastructure, such as hospitals.
"This type of door is used by Hamas terrorist organization in order to block the access of Israeli forces to command centers and underground objects owned by Hamas," the statement of representatives is said. The Head of the Defense Army of Israel, Daniel Hagari, told reporters that the entrance was found when the military bulldozer had taken out the outer wall of the hospital complex and found a fortified mine with a screw ladder, which descends 10 meters.
"It is huge, with metal spiral stairs, then it goes for 55 meters . . . And it comes to explosive doors," said Hagari, noting that the troops have not yet tried to open the door, fearing that they could be replaced. According to intelligence, the tunnel is either split or there is a "large management room", the officer added. Khagari also reported that when the Israeli forces entered the hospital, they found a white pickup Toyota, which housed RPG, explosive, grenades, and AK47.
According to him, this pickup is identical to those used by Hamas militants during an attack on Israel on October 7. "For several weeks, we have been telling the world about how cynically Hamas uses the residents of Gaza and Al-Shifa Hospital as a living shield," the Israeli military emphasized.
