"Completely torn": the network showed the effects of the drone attack on Russian tanker SIG (video)

The Ukrainian drone, loaded with half a ton of explosives, struck the tanker's side and destroyed the machine compartment. The Russian Oil Tanker Sig on August 5, 2023 met with Sea Baby Sea drone. The drone crashed into the tanker and struck the right side. The Russians posted a video with the consequences of the explosion. About it writes journalist Andriy Tsaplienko in the Telegram-channel.

In the video, the operator showed a hole in the right board of the vessel and its size compared to the rest of the ship. It is noticeable that the explosion pulled a considerable piece of the body and damaged the equipment inside. The author commented on what he saw. In particular, he denied the assumption that the size of the hole was 3 by 3 meters. In his opinion - there are all 8 by 8 meters. He also stated that "the machine compartment was completely torn.

" It should be noted that the network has published information on the physical size of the Russian tanker SIG. It is indicated that it has a height of the board - 6. 55 m. Therefore, the diameter of the hole cannot be 8 by 8 meters, as the operator, which was recorded. SIG is a Russian oil tanker that was under US sanctions through participation in illegal transportation to Syria.

On the night of August 4 to 5, the ship attacked a sea drone: the device with explosives crashed into board in the area of ​​the machine compartment. The place of attack-25-30 km from the Crimean bridge. At the time of attack, the ship was empty, so there was no spill in the Black Sea. The Russian authorities sent him to the shore and tries to repair. A few days after the drone was struck, a video video was posted.

The video also shows a hole, but not in full - it was partially hidden underwater. SBU Chairman Vasyl Malyuk stated that Ukraine has the right to act in the Black Sea at its own discretion: he said that it was quite logical. Later, the security officers showed drones that were used for special operations: they were fully developed by Ukrainian designers.

One type of drones hit SIG, and earlier - on the landing ship of "Olengorskaya Hrynyak" near Novorossiysk: they are able to carry explosives weighing 450 kg. Another development was used to strike on the Crimean bridge - a drone Seababy, loaded with explosives weighing 850 kg. We remind that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation hit the Chernihiv Ballistic Missile in the afternoon on August 19. The blow was struck by a civilian object - hundreds of peaceful people passed nearby.
