On the Freedom TV channel, the analyst of the Center for Strategic Communications and Information Security Sergey Zhukov told what methods they use. According to him, Russian journalists are tasked with creating illusory reality on the air. They use Western politicians' statements in a foreign language, but they make an alternative translation that is beneficial to them.

The analyst remembered how in 2004 Russian propagandists began to use the wrong translations when speaking of Ukrainian politicians.
