"One of Putin's Opposition": What and how propagandists distort reality - an analyst

According to the expert of the Center for Strategic Communications, Sergei Zhukov, the Kremlin has been trying to distort reality for over 20 years and submits false information to the people. Back in 2004, the propagandists transferred the statements of Ukraine to their maneuver. Russian propagandists create an alternative reality for the population to support Vladimir Putin's regime. It has been going on for over 20 years.

On the Freedom TV channel, the analyst of the Center for Strategic Communications and Information Security Sergey Zhukov told what methods they use. According to him, Russian journalists are tasked with creating illusory reality on the air. They use Western politicians' statements in a foreign language, but they make an alternative translation that is beneficial to them.

"Quotes of Western politicians, Western analysts they either distort their benefit, that is, they manipulate, quote excerpts, not all quotes, tear words out of context, or, as they also do very often - just invent quotes. On the eve of the NATO Summit, from the interview of Jens Stoltenberg, which they simply took and so reincarnated what they said, turned upside down and thought there, "the message said.

The analyst remembered how in 2004 Russian propagandists began to use the wrong translations when speaking of Ukrainian politicians. They imposed an overworked translation and distorted the meaning of the one that would be profitable for them. Now this is done with the statement of Western politicians. The deception of Russians happens in many things, starting from political elections, and this continues to work. "The Russians have been deceived for at least 20 years for at least Putin in power.
