Russian business is trying to hide its stake in one of the largest drug distributors, Venta LTD, - Kyrylo Sazonov

Military political scientist Kyrylo Sazonov stated in his post on Facebook that the Russian corporation "Katren" still controls about 10% of the Ukrainian drug market through the company "Venta LTD" from Dnipro. This is stated in the material of the RBC publication.

According to the expert, one of the key structures with Russian capital is the company "Venta LTD", which in 2024 received more than UAH 8 billion in revenue. Thus, at least every tenth drug supplied to Ukrainian pharmacies is sold by this company. "This company is controlled by the Russian corporation Katren with a turnover of 300 billion rubles. One of the three largest drug distributors in the aggressor country," Sazonov writes.

The post says that before the start of the full-scale invasion, the Russian holding directly owned 90% of the Ukrainian company, and after 2022 it reduced its share to about 24%, formally handing over control to local management. "Next came the arrest and charges of financing terrorism, but the Russians were apparently able to redeem themselves. Formally, the company was transferred to a local manager," Sazonov noted.
