More powerful than "Gerani": the FP-2 attack drone of the ZSU was equipped with a 100 kg aerial bomb (photo)

Share: The Ukrainian tactical strike drone FP-2, which is used for strikes against the Russian rear at a distance of up to 200 km, received a new warhead. The drone was equipped with an adapted aerial bomb OFAB-100-110-TU weighing about 100 kg. Photos of the fragments of the combat unit discovered by the Russians were published in the Telegram channel "Powerful Informator".

Judging by the pictures, the tail part has been removed from the aerial bomb - it is structurally removable in this model, which makes it possible to reduce the weight and dimensions when installing it on a drone. The comment on the photo says that it may be a Czechoslovak aerial bomb, which was used in the USSR on L-39 training aircraft, and the markings on the body of the ammunition are in Russian.

In this regard, "Military" analysts noted that usually the total weight of such an OFAB is about 121 kg, however, in the version for FP-2, the mass decreased due to the removed tail part. The "OFAB" marking indicates the high-explosive fragmentation warhead design, which uses the TG-50 explosive, which is a mixture of TNT and hexane in a ratio of 50 to 50. The weight of the warhead reaches approximately 44 kg in the standard configuration.

"Thus, the FP-2 drones received an even larger warhead than the Russian Geran-2 with 90-kilogram warheads. However, Russian drones have much more complex, from a technical point of view, combined warheads," experts emphasize. Fire Point first publicly presented the FP-2 in the middle strike segment in September 2025.

The drone inherited the general architecture of the long-range FP-1, but with a different combination of parameters — the flight range of the device was reduced from approximately 1,400 km (FP-1) to 200 km in favor of an increased warhead (105-120 kg is claimed in a number of reports). The drone is available in two versions: with autonomous guidance for hitting static targets and with the option of manual control over the radio channel for hitting moving targets.

The main characteristics of the FP-2 drone Since its presentation, the drone has repeatedly performed combat missions, in particular, during strikes on targets in the occupied Crimea and Luhansk, as well as during the deployment of the elite Rubicon unit of the Russian Armed Forces. For example, the use of FP-2 by the Special Operations Forces was recorded on September 18, 2025, during a massive attack on the 810th Marine Brigade of the Russian Federation in the Kursk Region.
