She stressed that in the framework of current mobilization in Ukraine, all men aged 18 to 60 years are subject to conscription, except for special situations stipulated by the legislation. Persons who have not previously served in the army are included in the public reserve category, which means that they can be called for service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine or other military formations, since they do not have age or medical restrictions for them.
Thus, citizens are obliged to appear for mobilization. It is important, however, to note that in this case they will not be sent to the front immediately. After conscription, citizens must undergo additional training or training before being involved in combat. The main purpose of training is to ensure proper and complete training. Only after the successful completion of this training will they be sent to military units and involved in the performance of military duties.
The martial law in Ukraine has led to the introduction of changes in the time of preparation for the sergeant and ordinary staff in training centers. The period of study, which was foreseen from 7 to 20 days, can now be adjusted. The specific number of days in training depends on the specialty, but in the conditions of martial law can be adapted in accordance with the current circumstances and requirements of defense of the country.
It is worth recalling who is not subject to conscription in the framework of general mobilization in 2023. Some categories of conscripts are exempt from mobilization even in wartime.
