The Russian Federation has already hit the KN-23 in Ukraine 24 times in Ukraine,-Prosecutor General

According to Andrei Kostin, the accuracy of the North Korean missiles KN-23/24 raises great doubts, as only 2 hit of 24 released missiles have been recorded. Russian troops have hit the settlements of Ukraine 24 times with ballistic missiles production of the DPRK. This was stated on February 16 by the Interfax-Ukraine Information Agency Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin.

"At the moment, at least 24 ballistic missiles, previously produced in North Korea, have been used during Russian missile attacks in Ukraine," he said. He noted that in general from December 30, 2023 to February 7, 2024, the enemy made at least 12 beats in seven regions of Ukraine with this type of missile. "We are talking about Zaporozhye, Kiev (three attacks), Kharkiv (two attacks) and cities and villages in Kirovograd, Poltava, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk regions.

These shelling killed 14 civilians, more than 70 were injured," the Prosecutor General said. According to Kostin, the most massive attack by KN-23/24 missiles was recorded on February 7, 2024. Then three cities were attacked: Kiev (one missile), Pavlograd and Kharkiv (two rockets in each city). The strike of the DPRK rockets, which caused the most victims among civilians, occurred on January 2, 2024 in Kharkiv: then three people were killed and 64 were injured.

"In all these cases, there is no hit for possible purposes," the prosecutor emphasized. He added that information about the origin of the missiles is confirmed by the conclusions of the Central Research Institute of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the interagency working group at the Office of the Prosecutor General, which in detail analyzed the places of rockets and their debris.

According to Kostin, although these missiles have different marking numbers, they have symbols that indicate their Korean origin. Compared to Russian rockets, the nature and volumes of destruction caused by these missiles are also different - the size of the gap, the striking effect. The peculiarity is also marked by the trajectory of their flight. "That is, these missiles have a larger diameter than similar models of Russian and Soviet origin," the Prosecutor General said.

Kostin reported that according to the preliminary analysis, such missiles contain the fugas battle units with a capacity of 500-1000 kg in TNT. It is also possible to use a combined combat part. The maximum range of rockets - up to 650 km is also installed. However, the Prosecutor General pointed out that the accuracy of these missiles raises doubts. "Of the 24 missiles, there are two relatively accurate trades: Kremenchuk's refinery and the technical territory of the Kanatovo airfield.

The rest of the missiles were hit at a considerable distance from each other (up to several kilometers or more) or exploded in the air, or struck residential quarters in Kharkiv," Kosin noted. We will remind that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on February 15 launched 26 missiles across Ukraine. The explosions were heard in Kiev and the region, as well as in Zaporizhzhya, Lviv, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, Khmelnitsky and Ivano-Frankivsk regions.
