According to journalists, the Russian president has already agreed to take part in the celebrations planned for September 3 on Tiananmen Square. The Chinese authorities did not refute the information of the Japanese Kyodo agency, which reported that the decision to invite Trump had already been adopted.

Beijing sources also suggest that Trump's visit can be the first full -time meeting of US and China leaders from the moment of his return to the White House. According to Kyodo, during a telephone conversation on June 5, Xi Jinping invited Trump to China, and he allegedly reacted positively. In parallel, the possibility of meeting with US president in New York in the fields of the UN General Assembly is also considered.

In 2015, Vladimir Putin had already participated in a similar military parade in Beijing on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Japan's surrender.
